CHEMICAL PEEL
Chemical peels are a type of skin treatment where a chemical solution is applied to the skin. The solution causes the top layers of the skin to peel off, revealing new and smoother skin underneath. Chemical peels are used to improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, acne scars, and uneven skin tone. They can also improve the texture and tone of the skin.
Medium peels, also known as medium-depth peels, use stronger acids such as trichloroacetic acid (TCA) or glycolic acid. These peels penetrate deeper into the skin and can effectively treat moderate wrinkles, age spots, and acne scars. Medium peels typically cause some redness and flaking and require a few days of downtime.

PRE-TREATMENT CARE
Please arrive to the appointment with hair back, clean skin and make up free. Stop retinal/retinoids for 7 days prior to peel. Please let us know if you have a history of cold sores or allergies to milk,strawberries or aspirin. Accutane patients should avoid chemical peels for 6-12 months prior to any chemical peels.
POST-TREATMENT CARE
Avoid direct sun for 7 days. Please use the post treatment kit for 7 days. Make up can be applied after 24 hours. Red, pink or tight skin is normal. Expect peeling for 7 days post VI peel.
